These Two Crippling Myths are Keeping You Broke

Have you ever thought,

“Wow the economy doesn’t seem to be doing too great, it doesn’t seem like a good time to invest.”
Or “Well, if I don’t get that thing now, it might not be there later.”

Or “I can’t say too many nice things about my coworker because then she might get a promotion and I won’t.”

Or maybe you’ve thought,

“It makes sense that I didn’t get a raise, he deserved it more”

Or

“Well sure it’s easy for her because she had all those advantages growing up.

Or even

“That’s just too nice, I can’t get something like that.”

If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking any of those things, you’re not alone.

We are culturally conditioned to live under two toxic beliefs:

  1. There is not enough.

  2. I am not enough.

These messages are everywhere—woven into our culture, reinforced by advertising, and often accepted as truth.

We grow up hearing things like, “Money doesn’t grow on trees” and “I’m not made of money”.

We see headlines every day (for years at a time) that tell us that a recession is imminent - and that we should all be very afraid if one does happen.

And advertising keeps you in a constant search for some object that will fill a hole that isn’t actually there.

Why would you need perfume if you already smelled good enough?

Why would you want a new car if yours was just fine?

Sure, luxury items can bring joy, but how much of our desire for them is rooted in the belief that we are somehow lacking without them?

What would happen if we rejected these myths and paid attention to the truth that surrounds us?

What If There WERE Enough?

What if there was enough money for you?

What if you were already enough—just as you are—to deserve, earn, and receive all the money you want on a regular basis?

How would you feel?

More importantly, how would you act?

Creating Evidence for Abundance

The way we break free from scarcity thinking is by creating small, undeniable pieces of evidence that abundance is real and available.

Imagine walking down the street and seeing a $1 bill on the sidewalk. Instead of ignoring it, you pick it up, say thank you, and take it as proof that money is available to you.

Someone compliments your outfit. Instead of brushing it off, you say, “Thank you! I appreciate that.” Then you acknowledge that you made a great choice in what you wore today.

Someone asks what you do, and they seem interested. Instead of assuming it’s just small talk, you ask, “Would you like to chat more about how I might help you?” The conversation flows, and before you know it, they become a client.

Are You Open to Receiving?

Money is everywhere. Opportunities are everywhere. The real question is: Are you open to receiving them?

The first step is to bust those two toxic beliefs—that there isn’t enough and that you aren’t enough.

Because once you shift those, you step into a completely different position—one where clients, money, and opportunities can flow to you with ease.

Try it today. Look for the small proofs of abundance around you. And when you see them, don’t brush them off. Claim them.
